Plantilla Jachym (Meteotemplate)

Buenas noches, bueno sigo sin terminar de enterarme, he configurado un cron en cron-job.org, para que ejecute el cumulus.php de la carpeta update, y he entrado y parece que lo esta ejecutando correctamente, pero lo que no termino de entender que archivo exactamente es el que tengo que subir de la carpeta cumulus de mi ordenador, ¿si es el archivo realtime.txt o cual es, y si se puede subir automaticamente con el mismo cumulus o hace falta otro programa?

Efectivamente, el archivo necesario para actualizar la base de datos es "realtime.txt".
Normalmente el archivo "realtime.txt" lo sube el propio Cumulus a la dirección que hayas especificado en la configuración del propio programa:
Tienes que activar la opción realtime para que el archivo se actualiza automáticamente en tu Pc.
Una vez que te has asegurado que el archivo se actualiza en tu Pc y en tu web de forma automática, debes indicar la dirección (por ejemplo: http://meteoguadamur.es/cumulus/realtime.txt) correcta del "realtime.txt" en el archivo ....update >> cumulus.php
Para comprobar que funciona la actualización de la base de datos cada x minutos (5), solo tienes que poner en tu navegador, la dirección:
http://meteoguadamur.es/template/update/cumulus.php?pass=12345678 (obviamente, debes cambiar esta dirección y la cifra por tu contraseña de la plantilla).
Para que el trabajo de actualización lo efectúe Cumulus (en vez de un servicio externo), hay una opción en su página de configuración y que puede utilizar un programa de la plantilla, que es Curl:
1) instalas el archivo template >> update >> "curl.exe" en la raíz de tu disco duro (C:\curl.exe)
2) Al programa Cumulus: Configuration >> Internet >> External Programs: escribes lo siguiente:
C:\curl.exe
en la casilla Params, pones lo siguiente:
-x http://http://meteoguadamur.es/template/update/cumulus.php

Javier, the problem is that Angel I think does not understand the concept of how this works.
He asked me to set up the cron, I tried to do it and I can do it for him, but there is a problem.
He does not understand he has to be updating the realtime.txt. Because what he did is he took his realtime.txt from his cumulus folder on his PC and uploaded that by FTP to his server. But obviously this will not work, because the file stays unchanged. He simply uploaded his realtime.txt and left it on the server like that. So then I cannot set up the CRON job because the realtime is not changing on the server. Try to explain to him he has to set up cumulus or whatever software to actually update the file.

thanks, I did ok, I got an A :-)
In the wiki, for Cumulus I recommend cron-jobs.org and do the updates via CRON, it is the best option. However, I need the realtime.txt on his server to be regularly updated. What he did was just upload it manually there and so it just has conditions from 3PM today when he uploaded it. If he has realtime.txt being updated by cumulus somewhere on the server, I can do the rest for him
